The pumpkin-carving scenes were legit pretty freaky, especially for a kids' show.

Freddy D. • 2 years ago

i love that they go this direction of being more of a dark series

yeah i hope we see more of that

Zeno De Lunar Chalavier • 2 years ago

Japanese kids are just more hardcore

this digimon anime is really underrated

Lolicon YouTuber Aki • 2 years ago

Yup
Every episode i watched are all good and have interesting stories

Miniscourigg • 2 years ago

Nice episode, Honestly it feels scary that pumpmon try to stab the pumpkin with knife. Ofc people would get terrified

A Disgruntled FoxGirl • 2 years ago

ofc lol. if that knife came any closer we'd have a higurashi situation, n' that ain't for kids XD

Archie Andrew's 1000 • 2 years ago

How fitting to see Pumpmon and Halloween episode on or near Halloween.
Btw yi'all have a Happy Halloween.

wwlaos • 2 years ago

Don't eat too much candy in one sitting!

churchblue • 2 years ago

The Subspace really came in handy. Now they can fight without damaging the real world.

Lord Serrano • 2 years ago

Whole time I was like "Pumpkinmon put the damn knife down!" lmfao loving how fun they're making these digimon in a horror type setting.

true
but i would love to see how they explain all the destruction and people getting kidnapped part
like did all those people forgot about a big ass pumpkin head kidnapping them?xD

Ian Nava H • 2 years ago

which is weird, because that wasn't needed with mummymon
they remember him kidnapping them (even if they kinda didn't see him)

not to mention clockmon

What?? So lets me get this straight

If someone would kidnapped your ass that looks like a 3 feet big ass mummy
Wouldn't you question that?
Bruv stop the goddamm 🧢
what's with all the people here in the comments with 0 Brain cells?

ManaAzir • 2 years ago

fear of being ridiculed, fear and stress leading to hallucinations etc knowing how the real world tends to act and explain things, its natural for people to not outright say what they saw or even doubt themselves. Tons of real world case studies can help you get the idea on why people just brush it off until it becomes too prevalent. Similarly they can attribute the damage to buggy ai or bots they got around.

Okey lets say we buy the part were they question there self if all was real
But what about all the destruction? xD like they got kidnappad not there memories erased imao
Also the dude who got chocked with cookies
Nah bruv i still don't buy that excuse
No one is going to forget getting choking with goddamm cookies LMFAO

Fuseteam • 2 years ago

i mean principle-sensei didn't question gammamon destroying his office so uhhhhh

Because he was like

"Nah let me just minde my own business" lol"😂

Fuseteam • 2 years ago

yeah lol😂

ManaAzir • 2 years ago

The destruction bit can have its blame shifted on to the ai controlled bots, throughout the series people seem to acknowledge that theres new models of bots around that can affect the environment, heck even shock people to paralysis and they seem to buy into that excuse fairly well meaning theres some sort of pre-established mindset in that world of theirs.
No one implied the memories are gonna disappear, just more self doubt due to mob herding theory. Memories of victims will still stay there, probably blame some psycho or something cos everytime anyone's gonna bring up "i saw digital transparent hologram shaped like a monster do me" the worse it gets. They wont forget and will easily get ptsd out of this shit no arguements there.
I'm guessing eventually some form of the authorities/special org will show up when pattern starts to show up cos the events of their world seem to be going on before the protagonists start to get involved.

Ilyas Shinrei • 2 years ago

they might think it was just some 3 feet big ass dude that wrapped himself with toilet paper... and questioning the crazy will just make your marbles, so they just ignore it even happened...

3 feet dude wrapped in toilet paper???? What the actual fuxk did i just read 😂😂😂

You smoking the good shit

Scarlet Rose • 2 years ago

They probably thought that they were hallucinating or having a nightmare 😅

Lord Serrano • 2 years ago

Yea it's a little strange there, though maybe they assume all this weird shit is because of buggy holograms lel

Buggy hollgrams that destroyed walls kidnappas and choking people???

Come on man.......

Lord Serrano • 2 years ago

Maybe there's some kinky holograms that malfunctions lmfao

HAHAHAH

wwlaos • 2 years ago

Clearly you were not a fan of Star Trek: TNG. :P

Trix • 2 years ago

Dark vibes fr fr, but good Digimon series. Already better than the remake they botched.

Transparent • 2 years ago

That teacher must really be behind the times if he thought a hologram could eat books. And then there was little Gammamon, farting in his face.

qwertyuiop • 2 years ago

the writer just lazy to address that issue. So they just wrote it off just like that. This is one of the defining feature of Shonen series, kids will never question that kind of things.

Ian Nava H • 2 years ago

Just saying "there are some holograms that can touch stuff, but they are new models so they aren't that common" would easily cover it for the protagonists

Jaston the FlameMyrmidon • 2 years ago

That doesn't make the writers automatically lazy, lol. It was intended as a joke that - while pretty basic, since the punchline was a fart - is still 100% in line with the likes of Numemon and Sukamon throwing poop around and stuff like that.

Mufti Wahyudi Saili • 2 years ago

boomers?

MixMi • 2 years ago

Who knows, maybe AI's can do that over there.
Or rather than behind the times, he might be way ahead of their time and expect AI's do be able to do all of those things.

churchblue • 2 years ago

Finally, the series does Digimon Analysis.

Vincent • 2 years ago

Wow, I think this is the first time there's a wholly elaborate conversation/explanation of the origin of Digimon and Digital World. Previous season(s) usually made it vague and needed to gather it piece by piece. Another plus point for this season!

SaintInfernal Neos • 2 years ago

To be 100% fair, that may just be what Angoramon knows or only apply HERE to this Universe. In most others, the Digital World and the Digimon have existed almost as long as the human world and weren't created by a virus XP

Vincent • 2 years ago

Nah, I think it's pretty accurate. To be precise, the virus only creates Digimon, not the Digital World. So it goes like this: Digital World has existed side by side with the Real World. The computer/network technology becomes a mean/gateway to access both worlds. It also introduced the virus to the Digital World, which then creates Digimon.

SaintInfernal Neos • 2 years ago

No, it's literally not accurate because the Digital World WAS born alongside the Digimon, by the will of Yggdrassil, that's literally the Canon for most of the Digimon Multiverse, so if Angoramon is being accurate then the version of it in Ghost Game is a marked exception rather than the rule XP

Vincent • 2 years ago

At least in Digimon Tamers, I remember that it is mentioned that Digimon is not native to the Digital World, but came to being from a dropped computer program. As for Yggdrassil, I always viewed it more as a grand administrator rather than a creator, the "alpha" of Digital World who then governs and regulates the newly emerging Digimon.
Well, I dunno, I guess I'll recheck things when I have the time.

Ian Nava H • 2 years ago

It was strange hearing Angoramon say "Digimon usually digivolve slowly though time. it is weird hearing some who can digivolve and go back to their normal form"

especially considering almost all other digimon partners are like that

SaintInfernal Neos • 2 years ago

Reminder, "Digimon partners" are NOT the norm. In fact, more often than not the first time such a thing happens outside legends in a series is when said series starts, so it's not so strange that Angoramon hasn't heard of how a Digimon partnered iwth a human is affected differently than a normal one. The anime have made most of us used to this, but in Digimon lore the whole deal of using a Digivice for an instant, temporary evolution is actually super-bizarre.

Gu-N-Da-Mu • 2 years ago

that Pumpmon's BGM is kinda spooky and creepy... GREAT BGM FOR HALLOWEEN!!!!!!!!!!!

Chasedownall • 2 years ago

One of these days, I hope Pumpkinmon like- removes the axe in his head and uses it as an attack, that'd be cool. Kinda surprised that the attack from the Champion level was enough to hurt him. Maybe cause he's a plant boi?

Also, totally didn't expect the contest winner: Ekakimon to finally show up, no less possessing things like a ghost. Though, I'm surprised it's debut episode wasn't Dracmon's since the whole shtick of the problem was red scribbles messing up people's lives.

Jaston the FlameMyrmidon • 2 years ago

I think it's because Pumpkinmon is just one of those pretty underpowered Ultimates. Like, yeah, most Ults are beefy enough that it takes at least a couple Champions ganging up to be able to really get them, but there are some that are weak enough to be managed.

Drum Bunker • 2 years ago

I think they're just disregarding digimon levels in this season like they did in XW and Frontier

Mummymon was an ultimate/perfect and was takend down by Betel, Clockmon a Adult/Champion was taken down by Gammamon

And that dracmon seemed really troublesome for just a child/rookie

Jaston the FlameMyrmidon • 2 years ago

I wouldn't really say that Mummymon was "taken down," so much as he was bopped hard enough to make him pause for a second. With the extra power that Partners tend to get upon their first digivolution, that's not out of the question. And we've seen Rookies handle champs before. Just look at Tamers; Renamon and Guilmon were both capable of it, meanwhile, Dracmon may have been gaining power from his shenanigans as he tried to manifest.

All of that to say - they don't have to be disregarding levels entirely, just playing with the notion of some members of a given level (and maybe two of the same digi's) being weaker or stronger than others.
